So basically they just ended support for those versions of the game, while anyone who bougt it at runic has still access to a supported version and everyone else can basically kick it right into the trash. Well now it says loud and clearly that only keys from are egible. If you end up earning some extra cash, it might even be worth the effort.
What you could do is buy the GOG version of Torchlight 2 now (for 1/4 the usual price) and sell your boxed copy via eBay (other sites are available).

If your boxed copy came with some sort of code it would probably (I'm just guessing here) be a sticker in the CD case, printed on the back of the manual or printed on the CD itself.Īgain, I'm more or less guessing here and you might not like this, but if you bought your copy of Torchlight 2 from a local store there's a chance that it won't count as "only game keys".
